How often do you see a NUT?
I have seen a Nut at least a half dozen times, probably more. Initially my group charges $100 pre-op and it includes a ton. All the Nut appointments, gym membership, support group, many tests, appontments with the sports person... a very long list and an outrageously good deal. Now, I am not sure if the Nut is covered by that original cost. Pretty sure my health insurance would pick it up though, but many of the labs that are now being run checking nutrition levels i am having to pay.
The whole Nut thing was a surprise. I sincerely went into it thinking that I knew what to do, but I just wasn't doing it. I did know a fair amount, but the need for protein was completely lost on me. I also never considered looking at my current eating patterns (time of day pattens) and coming up a plan based around those times. Both were hugely helpful.

I mostly see mine at support group meetings. Once in a while I email her or send her a message on FB. One of the prior NUTs got into running and I used to visit her when I had my checkups and give her advice. That was kind of fun -- to be able to turn the tables and be giving her advice.
