On the band wagon for sleeve I think!

Did the surgeon say the sleeve had more of a chance of leaking? Because that sounds like an inexperienced sleeve surgeon to me. The experienced ones don't have a big problem with leaks, not any more than with RnY especially not now that they make a special staple cartridge just for this surgery. You might want to look around some more to find a surgeon that doesn't have that issue especially since you are traveling already.
