Buyer's Remorse and Century Club

I was sleeved 10-29-12 .I had a LOT of buyer's remorse the first   2 months or so .I had an unexpected large hiatial hernia repair with the sleeve. I had miserable chest pain for 2 days after. The doctor said hiatial hernia repair + GERD = chest pain for some people and I was on that list. The first few months my stomach hurt all the time and I had a lot of trouble getting my protein in. Too add insult to injury, I was following my plan to the letter and my weight loss was very slow, only 5# the first month. I'm happy to say that I started at 280# and today, I weigh 180#, 100# lost. My weight loss has picked up, I feel much better ,am having a much easier time  and the NSV are too numerous to mention. I am indeed a very happy camper  now !! For all of you that are on the  fence about this surgery or newbies that are struggling, all I can say is  go for it.The beginning may be rough, but, it is   only temporary. You will not believe how it will change your life .I've learned so much from all of you and thank you for your willingness to come here and  share, educate and encourage. Blessings to all !

What a great example of how things can work out!  I had the same thing (large HH and sleeve) on January thirtieth.  My post op has been much smoother than yours, but I am still plagued by buyers remorse.  Stories like yours are very helpful and inspiring.  THANK YOU!

That's awesome.  Like you, I had a rough go of it for a while.  I was jealous of the people who bounced back so quickly and worried that something was wrong.  I feel great now too!  Thanks for updating us.
