This article is a very no nonsense approach to low carb dieting with some good tips on how to deal with cravings and eating out.
It is really important to say that we really do need to eat carbs along with protein after a certain period. I am a year out and have experienced brain fog due to too few carbs. After a certain period it is really important to add fruit and vegetables into your diet. Very low carb is not good forever.

Actually that is YOUR experience, we do not "really need to eat carbs" ever, carbs are the only non essential macronutrient. You really need to eat fat, you really need to eat protein, but you do not really need to eat carbs. You personally may feel a lot better with carbs, and someone else may feel great on low carb. I have a friend that eats zero carb, I mean she literally only eats meat and has for years. It's what "cured" her bulemia, and she's quite healthy. I would not be able to do that, I would get way too bored with my food. I know plenty of people who don't eat fruit anymore at all and only get their carbs from low carb veggies, I've personally never experienced that brain fog and I was low carb for a long time.

I honestly have not asked her, I do know that if you eat organ meats as well as the more regular cuts you don't need much in the way of supplementation, but organ meats blech.

I think that is a great article and so right up my alley. I have strived to stay away from things "WHITE" like white bread, sugar, potatoes, pasta, rice, flour, whole milk and substituted those with healthier items like whole grain wheat bread, sweet potatoes, splenda, etc.. All in small amounts only. Thanks Keith!! You reinforced my belief that I've been doing pretty good. My carbs are usually under 40-50 a day and I feel great and now I truly know why.
