100lbs lost and 6 month doc visit

I hit 100lbs lost today for my 6 month followup visit (a week late).  My surgeon actually told me I looked good, which seems like high praise coming from him since he's not exactly a puppies and rainbows guy.  He also seemed really confident that I will hit my goal at what he terms an ideal body weight for my height - 140 lbs.  I'm 27lbs away from that, and 17lbs away from my current goal.  I think I'm afraid to change my ticker.  I've been 150 in recent years for my wedding, and 140 seems like a pipe dream but it's becoming more realistic every day.  I'm simply thrilled with my progress, and so much of it is owed to the vets on this board.  I'm not perfect, I struggle, and I'm trying to learn more every day about myself.  I'm working really hard to maximize my weight loss while I'm still not hungry and my capacity is pretty small, although it's definitely increased in the last month.  Maintenance scares the hell out of me.  I've rediscovered my shopping addiction, but my brain is still catching up to the smaller sizes.  I look at them and think there's no way that is going to fit me and it does.  My asthma is almost completely symptom free.  I feel healthier and stronger and infinitely happier.

In short, I'm on cloud nine today.  Happy Tuesday!

Congratulations! You have done awesome!

It takes a long time for the brain to catch up on the clothes sizes. Mine still hasn't. I was obese from childhood so I've never worn regular sizes before and it still catches me by surprise a little.

Current project: I'm trying to get Woman Within and One Stop Plus and such to take me off their mailing and e-mail lists. So far, no go.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

Haha, that's a good current project :)  My mom had to force me to buy new jeans this weekend because mine were falling off me, so I took three different sizes into the dressing room.  I had to send photos to my friends and get my mom's opinion on buying the smallest size bc I just couldn't accept that they fit.

You have done great and I too am sure you can hit 140 if you want to do it.  It is totally doable and there for the taking.  Go get it.  :)

Thank you!  You are such an inspiration to me and, I'm sure, to countless others.  I'm feeling really positive about getting to 140.  To actually be an ideal weight for my height is mind blowing, but I want it!  I can literally taste it, and it tastes so much better than creme brulee :)
