What Have You Done for You Today?
Well you have a much more robust pre-op diet than I had. All I was allowed was yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes and broth for 2 weeks. At least you are getting real food.
My best advice is when you feel like you really want to eat go for a quick 10 minute walk. You should get yourself used to walking because you will want to do it a lot post-op to help with the gas. I wish I had spent more time walking early.
I also had a mostly protein breakfast. I've planned out my day on mfp and am sipping on my hot tea. Next I will go get on my treadmill and do week 2 day 3 of the C25k. Then I'll work on getting all my water in through out the day while cleaning up the house and doing loads of laundry although doing the laundry is really not something for me that would be for the family I guess lol.
Fantastic. Tonight is Week 8 Day 3 for me and tomorrow I am rolling right into Week 9 Day 1. My first 5k is on Sunday. If your ambition is to ultimately do a 5k, I would suggest doing some of your training outside on the road because running on the road is much diffferent than a treadmill. Just don't want you to get through the program get on the road and realized the difference on race day.
Congrats and good luck! Week 3 is the toughest.
Hey thanks this is good to know. I was wondering if it was different on the road then the treadmill. I do do a 2.0 incline but still I'm sure it's different I am assuming on the road is harder? At first I was doing it just to see if I could stick with it and accomplish something but today I found there is a color run coming up in Aug near my area so was thinking about doing it. But maybe I'll wait and get through the 5K on the treadmill the app I did you do the 5K on week 8 and then maybe I'll re do the whole thing but on the road then do the color run later on. Congrats for being on week 8 and good luck on Sunday! :)
Don't over think it. It is harder on the road, but if you just alternate I think you will be fine. The road will definitely make you sweat more. I am doing the color run on Sunday, looks like a lot of fun. For some real torture I was out running 50 yard sprints with a friend of mine today. I haven't sprinted since 7th grade many many moons ago.
