Help me please!!!

Does your surgeon have a dietician.? Do you have program handbook? Follow those instructions. At two months out eating those type of foods will hinder your weight loss and result in eventual weight gain. Just because you can eat more, doesn't mean that you should . Focus on high protein, green veggies, etc. stay away from carbs and unhealthy food.
Your surgeon is right, everything in moderation. However, this surgery really is just a tool. You will be able to eat whatever you want just in smaller portions. You need to make the right choices. I am not a vet, I am a newbie myself but I had this surgery because I needed to regain control of my life.
Do you track your food? I track everything on myfitnesspal. I dont eat more then 650 calories, less then 35 carbs, 80-100 grams of protein and 8 glassed of water minimum, I aim for 10. I don't drink my calories, unless it is a protein shake..which I drink 2 a day.
I eat by measurement because I am maximizing my tool. I don't have the "full" sensation so there is no need for me to eat until I feel full. I eat what is on my plate, because that is what I have tracked and that is it. I am satisfied with that because I know it is enough. Just because you can eat more doesn't mean you have to or should.
Here are some things I eat. Protein oatmeal, protein pancakes, chicken, turkey, seafood, (protein in 2 oz), veggies typically 3-4 tablespoons. On gym days I might snack on some extra carbs like baked spicy chick peas (1/4 cup), 100 calorie pack of almonds or some veggies and yogurt dip.
Good luck, you can do this! Do some research online and get some recipes. Preplanning is essential, don't get bored with your food...that makes it easier to stay on plan!

Being afraid is normal and a good thing. I am three months out and I have had 3 ballon endoscopies because I could not eat anything. Now that I can I am worried too, while I am not eating lots I worry because I am eating period. I think we both know that eating pizza and frenh fries probably contributed to the weight gain in the first place so it would be best to avoid those things and stick to lean meat and fish and veggies. If we want more of the same we do more of the same. My fear is that I could possibly go through this and not lose the weight I need to lose. Anyway I think that you know that the wrong things will not help you. One thing I remember is to get your lean protein and veggies in before anything else and if you do that you will be successful.
Are you hitting your protein goals and nutritional needs? The one part of the early months for me that was critical was developing the retrained eating habits. I was never perfect, but consistently very, very good. Whatever you can eat now capacity wise it will be significantly more in just a few short months. By then it will be critical that your eating habits are retrained, otherwise not only will you not lose, but you will be at high risk of gaining. Here is a list of my favorite go to items:
Trader Joe chicken hot dogs (low calorie, high protein, and uncured)
Greek yogurt (make my own now since I was eating so much and saving a small fortune)
Fibergourment half calorie crackers (favorite is cinnamon)
Protein bars, protein shakes
Lean meat (fish, chicken, rarely beef or pork)
Cottage cheese and fresh fruit
Soups
Tunafish
Fiber one cereal, almond milk or flax seed milk
veggies
I avoid white flour, processed food for the most part, fast food save a few items that are Ok calorie/protein wise

Now you are asking the right questions. First you can eat more types of foods not more food. Be careful not to eat more volume of food because you could hurt yourself. You should continue to eat lean proteins. You don't need to eat low fat and I stay away from fat free because its loaded with chemicals. Start with 2-3 oz of lean protein if you have room left eat some high fiber vegetables like spinach, broccoli, cabbage, etc.
Try to get 30g of protein first thing in the morning. Protein first.
This poster has put three posts up consecutively. Im a newbie and not once have I posted a question on here. Why? I have spent hours and hours reading through these forums and getting the answers I need to make an informed decision. Im not downing asking questions even if I think most can be answered by taking your time and researching. But to ask what you should be eating AFTER the surgery???? You should know this. And fries and pizza? Even if a person doesnt receive post op instructions, the storehouse of inexhaustible information on the internet and OH forums should have given sufficient education to not only this topic but almost anything weight loss surgery related. Im astonished. Call me a bully if you feel inclined but these sort of posts boggle my mind. Good luck and happy health....I have a feeling youre going to need it.
I was like you, goldi. I read for MONTHS ,before I ever posted a thing. after reading for months ,I didn't need to start a post asking the same old tired questions that are asked a million times a day,on EVERY forum on this board.
This is why the vets get tired, pissed, cranky and ill tempered. One can just answer the same question so many times.
The problem with that is often the newbies don't know what they are talking about ,and give terrible advice. it is not their faults since they have just started their journeys, but all the same terrible advice is terrible advice.
the original poster posts a topic like this about once a week. How many times can you ask the same question and not get the same answer?
