NSV: My trip to NYC

I've done pretty well so far on this trip, except for water.  I drink over a gallon of water a day, and it's just not feasible here when I'm running around like a crazy person.  I'm not tracking, but I'm making sure to eat lean protein first and then veggies.  I'm having my protein shake in the morning to make sure I'm getting enough protein in.  I will be having some wine while I'm here (how can I not?  I have friends in the biz.  haha), but that will be my only treat and probably just a glass or two.  It's a four day trip where I get to just be a woman, and not worry about being a mommy & a wife (although I still worry).

I feel amazing.  That's pretty much my NSV.  This is the thinnest I've ever been in NYC, and it is so much lovelier here not hauling around all that weight up and down subway stairs.  Not getting looks from people when you go to sit next to them and wondering if you can somehow wish yourself smaller.  My coworker didn't recognize me, a friend told me I'm tiny, my boss' jaw basically dropped to the floor.  It's heady, but I'm not done.  I'm more determined than ever to get to where I want to be.

It is, however, ******g fantastic to rock skinny jeans & boots, super fitted dresses, whatever I actually want to wear and feel fabulous.  It's total vanity, but it feels really, really good.  Much better than cookies from Milk Bar or a Shack burger.  Hah!

I'm so jealous. I try to go to NYC annually. Last year my weight was up and it was a blustery hot September when I went with my average sized BF.....at times, with the heat, it was hard to breathe. I can't wait to go in maybe October....with my weight down....I'll be 8 months out then.

Don't you love making your boss' head spin?!

I certainly do!  I'll probably be back in October as well.  It's such a great month in NYC

Hah!  Will do.  I've actually been trying to take photos for once :)  Glad that I could help yesterday in any way.  I ended up having a couple bites of nutella panini & gelato bc we went to my friend's bar, and he just brought it out.  Sigh.  At least I hadn't eaten much the rest of the day :)

I lived here a few years in my 20s, and my job is still here so I travel a couple times a year for meetings and such.  The summer is pretty miserable and stinky, but it's not much better in Austin.
