So Hungry Today

I agree with frisco... quest bars don't help.  I eat them mainly to satisfy my sweet tooth.  I could probably still eat a meal after eating one.  Fruit just fills me like water does.  Good ol' faithful dense chicken is the way to go!!!

I eat them for protein and fiber in a pinch. I do not eat them very often and they don't trigger me. Chicken makes me vomit so chicken is out. I tried protein first. That is why I was thinking maybe I am missing something in my diet that I stopped eating.

Yikes, chicken makes you vomit?  I don't know what I would do without chicken.  It's the main staple in my food plan.  Since you said there is probably something missing in your diet that you stopped eating that helped, try to figure out what that was.  I know we are all different & hopefully that will help.  My problem lately is plain old head hunger or girl issues.  I feel like I want to eat all the time & I hate that.  Oh well, I just try to deal with it the best way I can.  It's hard as hell though sometimes.

I don't think it was head hunger. I am much better today. Yeah, I keep trying chicken and if it is moist and has a lot of sauce on it I can keep it down, but lots of sauce and/or moisture means more calories so its not really worth it yet. I was never a huge fan of chicken but I ate it a lot before and would like to be able to eat it now. It just doesn't sit well yet. Everything else is fine. Turkey doesn't bother me either.

I am reasonable certain it was sleep related. I have only been getting 5 to 6 hours. I thought it through.

I have been doing good at it lately but we got a puppy about a week ago and suddenly I am working late to compensate for chasing the puppy all day and getting up early to make sure we get it housebroken properly. Damn life.

I only have head hunger at times late in the evening, and when I do I break out the Bluebell SF Bullets. There are four flavors and it does help with hydration somewhat but to me it hits the "dessert" syndrome.

Dense protein helps alot. Shrimp is my go to - I can only eat 2 or 3 large shrimp - it makes me feel full for hours. (note to self - buy more shrimp today!)

When this happens to me, the only way for me to reset that feeling is to take a nap, short one mind you, 15-20 minutes asleep. Stops me. I hope you find a distraction!

What Frisco said... stuff that stupid sleeve with chicken or another very dense protein. I've eaten until "miserable" a few times because I just could NOT get satisified. I'm rarely hungry, but man... when it hits, it sucks.

Us girls have it worse sometimes, so welcome to our world. :p
