What are you doing for YOU this week?
I am pre-op, but here is what I'm doing to get ready for June surgery:
-Throwing out all the sugar, flour and carbalicious things in my pantry and fridge
-Practicing chewing foods into a paste before swallowing
-Making sure I get in at least 75-100 oz of water daily per my NUT's recommendation
-Stocking the house with the protein shakes I will need for my pre-op diet
-Meeting with my surgeon Thursday to set a date
Hi Keith, I am going to Boot Camp tonight and Wednesday, Jazzercise on Tues, Thurs and Saturday. I cooked my fish and chicken for this week and portioned out my meals already. I have 5 lbs to my goal of 120 lbs and actually was considering 125 might be lofty enough goal since I am feeling and looking fantastic if I must say so myself. Watching to make sure I don't get the Bobble Head look. I am also working on eating and drinking slower. This has been my biggest challenge.
I am going to work out five times this week, two of those times are going to be with the crazy class from my gym. I am planing on doing about 20 min. on the elliptical and 40 min. or weights on the other three days.
I am also having my hair done and that always puts me into a better mood. I always like to surprise Alan and come back home all dressed up and kidnap him for an "unplanned" night out. He doesn't know it yet, but I am taking him shooting at a shooting range followed by a dinner at a local BBQ place. The plan is to end the night in a local dive bar where we are meeting up with some of his music friends. I have asked a guitar player to bring an extra guitar and amp and he can participate in a little jam with them. I bet he will love it.
I have been lurking for a while. I have not had my surgery yet. I started the process back the end of Jan. Got all my pre-op requirements done except for the last 10 lbs to lose before I can have the surgery. Right after I started down this journey, my parents both got very sick. Then my mom passed away and then a dear friend. Just got done moving my dad to a retirement home. As always, I put everyone else's needs before mine.
It's now time to put my needs first!!!
What I am going to do for ME this week?
I am going to follow my diet plan. I am going to try out 24 Hour Fitness today. I am going to get a personal trainer to help me make my goal so I can get the surgery I need!
