8 months out (Saturday) - GOAL (long and with lots of photos)

Okay... I guess the first challenge is that I had stopped tracking everything.  I just began again two days ago to see if that might shed some light on the stall lasting so long.  I'd be happy to share my two days, but I'm not sure the sampling is large enough to make sense yet.  I have had two very different days.  Before I stopped tracking, I was consistently having about 550 - 800 calories per day and that is exactly what one of my past two days was like.  My other day,  was closer to 1000 calories due to a restaurant lunch of 3/4 of a burger (no bun).  (BTW, There are several different options to click on with myfitnesspal and I usually pick the largest numbers with the idea that I am being the toughest on myself.  Is it really possible that this portion of a burger was more than 500 calories and 34 carbs?)!

So I am definitely back to tracking everything again and I need to skip the red meat (or have it very sparingly), add more water (at least double my intake) and lower my carbs (which have only been green and or leafy, I don't eat starches...).  I will try a couple of weeks of that and track it all and if there is still mystery, I will contact you -- if that's ok!

Thank you soooooo much for your time and good questions and support!!!!  Again, congrats to you for your great success!!

PM me any time.  Seriously.  I know how tough this is, and we're all in this together.  I'm highly doubting the burger had that many calories or carbs if you weren't eating the bun.  I eat red meat a couple times a week, but it's usually grass fed beef which is leaner than grain fed.  I try to choose leaner cuts (flank, filet mignon, etc), but I also eat ground beef on occasion.  It is high in fat, so your calories will go higher, but I need the iron and I like it so I try to compensate the rest of the day.

Tracking and water are key.  Make sure you take your measurements too.  Every time I've had a "stall" my measurements have decreased noticeably.

as of this morning, I've lost 6 lbs more ... so maybe the water is making the difference!  (so happy i just may hit the gym today!!)  Thank you sooo much for your support!!  I think you are right about the burger.  How could a beef patty have that many carbs?  It just didn't make sense to me!  when i changed it in myfitnesspal, it put the day back in line with all of my previous tracking... whew!!!

Yes, I'll continue to track and to post and to try to get my water in...  thanks for the motivation and reminders!!

Measurements?  I've never done that, but it would be nice to have NSV too!   HOW do you take measurements?? And how do you make sure you are in the same spots each time?

I've been taking measurements for years for various reasons - weight loss, figuring out clothing sizes on websites, dance costumes, etc.  I only do chest, waist, hips & thighs.  It's the fullest part of your chest, your waist is in the crease created when you lean sideways, fullest part of your hips & thighs.  You get a feel for it.  If you can't get the measuring tape even around your body (just takes practice), you can have someone else do your measurements.  It doesn't have to be extremely accurate, it's just another way to monitor progress.  Especially when the scale isn't moving and you're doing everything right.  Goal jeans help too :)

Congrats on the loss!

You look amazing. Your pictures show a major change!!!! Congratulations on your success and on feeling "sexy" - I can't wait to get to that place! Are you on MFP? I would like to see what you've done food-wise these past 8 months. I am a new post-op - 5 days out - and doing pretty well thus far. (Sorry if it's in your signature, I am on my phone and scrolling is a pita!) angry
