I have talked about squats on here before. They are hard, especially if you haven't done them before. Well actually you have every time you get up off the couch you are essentially doing a squat. But if you want to move it up a notch, here is a great video by Mark Sisson of Mark's Daily Apple, a paleo site, but his I thought his video on squats was great.

I started a squat challenge today. Along with a crunch challenge. Here's to a cute butt and flat stomach!

Outstanding. Make sure to get some pics now and again in a couple of weeks so you can see your progress. Then post your pics here so we can see your cute butt and flat stomach.

My trainer just had me do 450 squats on Friday - 3 different types x 3 reps of 50. Each Squat rep was followed by a 2 minute wall sit. Todays training was Burpees followed by squats with a kettle ball thrust. Never, ever tell your trainer you are doing the 30 day squat challenge because he will want to prove to you that the squat challenge isn't challenging enough for you!

DAMN! I complain about the 40 with 100lbs I have to do twice a week. RESPECT!

I have learned to never tell my trainer anything, particularly if I am sore from the day before because he will make it worse.

Keith - just think, we pay for the abuse! Seriously love my trainer because of his confidence and belief in me. While I'm always sore after our workouts I am always thinking "Damn, I can't believe I did that"! Feels so darn good.

Fortunately my trainer is a buddy of mine and it doesn't cost me actual money, but I pay for it in many other ways.

Video is great!  I did 3 sets of squats, lunges, barbell swings and stool stepping yesterday, was fantastic.  Today I can't walk, or sit down or stand up without major effort and a lot of pain..hurts so good!

Outstanding, the first day of squats is the worst. Gets better after that.

Those having trouble doing squats properly at first,  if you place a big exercise ball on the wall behind you you can roll down into a squat position easier,  it's a good way to get used to doing them before doing them without the ball and then with weights :)      When you've got the squats worked out start trying out deadlifts :)
