We talk about compression garments pretty frequently. I'm a fan of Spanx, and they are on sale on Zulily today. They even have some mail compession garments :)

Do you like those? Do they create any weird lines? I was thinking of getting some. I only have some higher power Spanx from my wedding, but I'd like something to wear with lighter tops

Do Spanx panties that are waist high roll down? I've never used this brand and was thinking of buying some but not sure if they will do that.

Also, do you need to buy a size smaller than what you usually wear or simply get the same size?

I think their size chart is pretty accurate so I'd go by that. If you're between, size up bc they are very tight. I don't know about waist high, the ones I have are chest high and they do not roll at all.
