What have you done for YOU Lately?
You might consider spending some time with a trainer. Many gyms offer a reduced rate for new members or some sort of package special where you get 3 sessions for the price of one or something like that. But it might be beneficial to spend some time with a traininer learning what the equipment is and how to use it. Proper use of the equipment is just as important as doing it and if your haven't really spent much time in a gym, it would be worthwhile. Just tell the trainer you are not looking for a specific exercise regiment just yet, but that you would like to spend some time learning how to use the equipment and specific exercises with that equipment, focus on squats, bench press, dead lifts, anything that uses the bigger major muscle groups, you will get the most bang for your buck and you don't need to worry about "bulking up".
When they start talking about nutrition and how important it is to eat carbs blah blah blah, just politely say that you recently had a WLS and your diet is under a doctors order.
