Depends on what works for you.  My surgeon recommends 1000ish.  I eat 600ish and have been there since about 5 months out.  I haven't had a stall longer than a week except for the dreaded three week stall that was two weeks.

At six months, I was around 700, but I tried hard to keep as close to 600 as possible.  On hungry days, I might have gone all the way up to 800 calories.

Best to ask your nutritionist, it can depend on your weight, how close to goal you are, how much you work out, etc.

VSG 10/26/12 • HEIGHT 5'4"
GW = 140 lbs met Month 9
CW = 133
lbs
Loss per Month: 8 >  9 > 7 > SURGERY  > 15 > 10 > 10 > 10 > 7 > 5 > 6
  > 6 > 5 > 5 > 0

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

At six months I was told by my surgeon 800 to 1000 I ate under 800 most days but some times I would go as high as a 1000 but not very often.

  Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.

It depends. I was basically at goal at 6 months. And training for a half ironman. I was averaging almost 900 calories. I wouldn't recommend that for just anyone though. But for a lot of people, that's reasonable at that point if your exercise and weight loss supports it.
