Joni,  it is good to vent.  I know most of us know how you feel.  I went from a band to a sleeve and it was really rough.  First of all my daughter did not want me to get converted, just get the band out. When I got home from Mexico she was angry.  I had to act like no big deal and I was miserable.  It was a looonnggg time before I could take more than 2 sips of water. I had so much scar tissue and swelling. Even when I went back to wor****pt the garbage can right next to me.  Anyway, what I am trying to say, this to shall pass and in a very short while this will fade and when you have to pull your pants up to your armpits you will smile.  It will be worth it.

This is the absolute worst stage that you're in now...I promise it gets SO much better!  I've gone out alot and brought my crystal light with me & spiked my water.  It's not so bad.  I very recently had some red wine (shhh...don't tell anyone lol), but in the beginning, I was fine with my fancy water.

I'm finally getting to the point where I am able to eat "normally" again (but very much less than before) and not just feel stressed out about food and not drinking and eating together, etc, in social situations.

You're doing this for you, and you will be so happy and grateful in a few weeks!!

Hang in there!

Hang in there...it has to get better.

I'm three weeks out also and feeling impatient anf frustrated. I'm so tired all the time I can hardly make myself do anything but work during the week. plus I'm in pain from my foot, neck and back issues and can't really take anything. I just want my energy back! I don't regret anything; I'm just anxious to get on with my life.

So I keep telling myself it will get better...it has to!

Did you buy some of the Supradol sublingual while you were down there? If so it should really help the foot, neck and back pain.

Hang in there and keep remembering what your final straw was. YOU CAN DO THIS! Not having A drink won't last forever. Once you get to the soft solid foods, you will feel the restriction big time. The beginning is when your mind is learning to change. Give yourself a break. Lots of people have a stall at 3 weeks out. Measuring during a stall is a great feeling because you are losing inches. I didn't measure until about 3 weeks out. Keep at it. You'll be so happy in another 3 weeks! Guaranteed.

Thank you all for you inspiration. I will try to keep my chin up. I think some of my prob. is that I have been off work too long, and the weather here in MN is not good (depressing). Hoping this will change soon !!!!!!
