Same here - no weight lifting during cycling "season." Weights is for the winter :). Doing a 200k race on Saturday with 20 hill climbs - I think that covers me :)

If you have knee issue than you want to do more of a Sumo squat. I have bone on bone issue in my left knee but regularly do a minimum of 150 squats a day making sure to do correct form and have had no issue with my knee. My quads on the other hand are solid as a rock now and I can hold a wall sit for 10 minutes.
Squats are my friend, burpees are my enemy. LOL
