Peace and respect, my OH friends

Just a quick note.  A lot of odd stuff seems to be happening just now and people are struggling.  I love OH, have been here almost daily for about 3 years and won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

BUT!  My two cents:  WLS is so personal and so, so stressful!  It brings up so many feelings for all of us.  If we weren't a little nuts about food, i don't think we'd be here (i wouldn't for sure!).  Take away the food, pre-op worry about if you can handle taking away the food, have major surgery, let go of your murderous friend who has nonetheless helped you feel safe for so long?  It's stress city, man.  And all that stress can come out in all kinds of ways.

I just ask for peace.  If there is someone whose posts consistently bug you:  don't read 'em.  If you're sick of reading that question for the 19th time:  don't read it and let someone who isn't as fried on that one answer it.  Be kind TO YOURSELF.

When we project our fear, sadness, panic, anger, deep sense of loss, onto others, it just doesn't help US.  And this is the part they don't tell you much about in WLS school!

As always:  if this sounds like a crock of **** to you, read an move on.  if, on the other hand, it resonates, realize that there are more of us here who care about you and each other than not.  Extend kindness to yourself in this journey and extend kindess to others as well.  Everyone has felt the fear, sadness, panic, and anger/loss.  If we love each other through it, we'll accomplish more.

And yeah, i can also be a total ***** so don't be fooled!     Love you guys to bits!!!!!

You post and ask as many questions as you like! That's what we're here for. It can be tough navigating these waters as a newbie!

If I wasn't so wrapped up in my own personal **** with my own WL journey I might have cared about what was going on recently (well, I do care to a point but it was none of my personal business really).  I do read and move on... **** I have to 'cause I would go bonkers ... I feel my eyes crossing already ... that's just me though.

I really like your post BTW.  xoxo to you Ann!!!

you get the peacebuilding and diplomacy award!!! Nicely said! And one wonders why the Middle East is a mess...when perfectly reasonable folks can't even talk about carbs without getting all excited!? I guess that is why they are called 'complex' carbs...its complex!
