Tonight I am running in the Neon Vibe 5k with my wife and kids. I am heading over to the gym shortly to do an all out chest freak out workout and some stretching.

My trainer just worked the hell out of me with 55 minutes of strength training and a bit of cardio.

        

 Surgery date - 04/03/13; Goal date - 11/10/13 (I reached goal in 31 weeks & 4 days)

Highest weight 261  SW 258  GW 150   M1 -26  M2 -14  M3 -10  M4 -12  M5 -13  M6 -12  M7 -11  M8 -10  In maintenance since November 2013  HT- 5'6"

Don't be in awe! Join us! No reason not to and 50 million reasons to. You  have 97 of them right there in your ticker. Get started today. Get started right now. Go grab a kitchen chair set your feet on both sides of the front legs, bend you knees forward sit down and as soon as your butt touches stand up quickly. Do it 10 times then go for a 15 min walk around your neighborhood. Total time will be 20 mins. No excuses.

Already did an hour of water aerobics. I pushed it hard today and discovered I haven't lost much stamina since before surgery. Yay!

Thanks Keith....i had a super busy work week and was looking forward to just some R & R, but you have inspired me to do the squats and the 15 min walk...probably 30 min., i just didnt have the umph to get up and go to the gym, but your 20 min. workout was just the motivation i needed.  It is so cool to hear that your whole family is involved in your 5K.  Have fun!!!

Went hiking this morning, but only got about 40 mins in (usually on Saturdays I get at least 2+ hours) because we were literally followed by a gigantic swarm of mosquitoes. It was just too much. Must buy bug spray. And calamine!! I have bites EVERYWHERE, including my face and ears :(

I have to thank you Keith...
I did my elipitical today 1/2 hr and I was stinkin' thinkin' thru about the first 10. Minutes, I don't wanna do this, I was out late last nite, my thighs hurt, my calves hurt...whine, whine, whine...blah blah blah...then something you posted popped in my head about excuses and only hurting myself in the end, by lying to myself and not doing it...and i did it ..I completed the task where in the past I would have quit!!
The evil voices in my head didn't win today!!!
