Anyone get light headed when getting up too quick?
Oh yes, and for different reasons. I will rattle them off here- see if any of them make sense for you.
1. Fluids- dehydration can do this.
2. Electrolyte imbalance. Drink Powerade Zero.
3. Low blood pressure (my biggest issue). Drink Powerade Zero and take a salt supplement. Please note that you should have labs done to confirm low sodium. Once I started upping the sodium it was soooo much better. Blood pressure went up to a more comfortable range.
4. Low blood sugar. If you feel better after 4 ounces of milk or some carbs this may be the culprit. This was the issue the first few months post op when I was trying to go low carb. So not worth it!
5. Meds may need adjusting. My hubby had a lot of this due to being on metformin and it needing to be dropped.

It may be a combination of these because on their own, none stick out. My 'stream color' is ok as best I can tell so I don't think I'm dehydrated. I'm guessing with all the soups I've had during this liquid phase, I'm surely high enough on salt. I mix skim milk in my morning shake. I guess I just have to check my BP often to see if I'm low.
Thanks!
Milk with the morning shake would not hold your blood sugar levels steady for the whole day. Do you notice the light headedness after your morning shake, or is it further on out in the day? Try the Powerade zero- it can't hurt and it could be electrolyte balance issues too.
