Aren't I the lucky one! Pre-op diet starts on Monday, period today--Oh the joy...

I really am getting too old for perods and mine usually only happens now about every other month.  OH joy that it happened right before I have to start on my pre-op diet. I think I read where they still do the surgery no matter?

Should of mentioned PRE OP LIQUID diet.

aren't you lucky you only have 2 days of pre op dieting.  I had 2 weeks of low carb and high protein.  Tuesday is all clear liquids.  But to answer your question, yes I have heard of others who had their TOM during surgery.

Hello ShelleKarena,  Yes Monday starts the liquid diet only, I've been doing the low carb/high protein for several months now.  You are right "count your blessings" I hear some have to do that liquid a lot longer.  So you are going in on the 10th also.  That is great!  Best wishes to you, it's so becoming real now isn't it.  Keep in touch if you'd like and we can compare progress.

Just get all the ugly stuff out of the way up front, eh?  Just a caution it could show up again shortly after surgery too from over active hormones after surgery. Ain't life just a ball? Yep they will do the surgery, they've seen way worse than that! Have a great recovery!

My Pre-op starts TUESDAY !!! Mine I can have HR cream of mushroom soup,oatmeal,sf jello,sf popsickles and decaf tea with Splenda,sf pudding,NO MEAT though

and 3 shakes a day

That is interesting Pamela, that is my program after surgery for a whole week, then on to pureed for 2 -3 after.
