Taste buds..
For some, yes. For others, no. Based on what I've read.
For me, some things changed. I now like black coffee and only have a sweet one rarely.
Some things, like pasta and soft breads, just sit badly so I don't enjoy them anymore.
You adapt. It takes time.

Hi Candy, I just joined the group and having the sleeve on July 31. Same day as your back surgery. Good Luck, I know things will go as they are planned. I read your blog, CONGRATS!!!!! on all the weight loss. Did you have alot of loose skin? I know you are a lot younger than I am (64) I'm afraid of looking like a Sharpei dog LOL. My weight is 271, so I'm a little No a lot scared of the surgery. Please tell me how to calm down. I used to work for 16 cardiologists so I know how important it is to loose weight, but that does not lessen the fear. A friend showed me this website for support, I'm not that great on the computer so hope I can get back to your reply if you do. thanks Candy and you will be fine on the 31st as I will. Great question, Sugar free jello and popsicles tastes to sweet now. Same thing with Propel Zero. Never thought I would say something is to sweet. LOL

When I was early post op tea made me gag, I am no t sure if it was the temperature or the taste. I am happy to say that I am now able to drink it easily. I am allowed regular green tea, regular white tea and otherwise has to be caffeine free.I actually drank 6 cups of hot tea at work today.
