List of Low Carb Ingredients to Have on Hand
I stumbled on this list and just had to share. Not sure about all of these for weight loss, but still a great list. I will be for sure be experimenting with the chia seeds.

This is a pretty long list. Thanks for posting it!
Here is where I get stuck. Part of why I am doing this is to get healthy. There are many items on that list that are really heavily processed. I happened to see the article that was posted within the past week or so about processed foods leading to low level chronic inflammation which eventually leads to obesity. I really think there is something going on with the dangers of processed foods, if for no other reason that hubby has basically managed to put his Hashimoto's syndrome into remission by eliminating all processed foods from his diet. I am trying to make the same changes.
Another thing I have realized is that in previous diets, I spent a lot of time, energy, and money trying to make junk low carb, instead of just amping up protein to eliminate the need for carbs as much as possible. That was sort of an aha moment to me. I think one of the biggest benefits I've seen since starting my preop diet 8 weeks ago is that I have detoxed off of so much stuff - caffeine, sugar, white carbs (heck, most every carb). I'm not anxious to get back there!
Some of the stuff on this list is healthier than others (Chia seeds), but I wonder where others fall in the balance between clean, healthy eating and ingesting highly processed stuff for the sake of eating sweets.
