Question about cycles - anyone else?

I wanted to tap into the hive mind and see if anyone else has had or is having this issue.  I've always had regular cycles, and in the past few years they got shorter - around 24 days.  I got an IUD in early April (paragard, nonhormonal) bc I'm not done having kids, but I'm not certain hubs is quite ready for the big snip (it will happen before I get plastics).  My first post-IUD period was terrible, but it occurred at the normal time.  Second one took 6 weeks to show up.  Third one has yet to show up.  We're talking 8 weeks, no period.  I've taken pregnancy tests, gotten a blood test (can you tell I'm paranoid?) and saw my GYN this week (his request and all my reproductive stuff is perfect & so is the IUD placement) who basically told me "Call again in 4-6 months if you still haven't gotten it or earlier if you get hot flashes."

Sooooo, anyone else have this happen?  Yes, I know I've lost a lot of weight in a pretty short amount of time, but I've been about 15 pounds heavier than this and just as active with no issues (I didn't have an IUD, then).  I guess I am just looking for reassurance that there isn't some underlying problem that I should have investigated now (obviously I'll push my doc for tests/etc if this continues).  My weight has never had an impact on my cycles, so I just feel kind of confused.

Yup mine has gone crazy! Some months nothing, last month twice. My Dr said once my weight stabilizes so should my tom.

I was actually on my period the day of my surgery and have had one every two weeks like clockwork since then. They were pretty irregular before, usually 6 to 9 weeks apart. I hope this is not a permanent side effect for me because it sucks! At any rate, I think it's normal to have some sort of variance on your usual routine as far as this goes but it probably wouldn't hurt to get checked.
