Recipe of the Day - Crack Slaw
I am not sure of the healthfulness of sesame oil, but if I had to guess its probably pretty good since it is a seed oil, so I wouldn't worry about the calorie content. As VSG patients we cannot eat an entire portion so when I plugged this recipe into MFP I said it served 8 people, meaning the 1 lb of beef (93/7) and other ingredients I used would normall serve probably 4 but I was only eating about half a normal portion, so here is the breakdown according to their recipe calculator:
126 calories
5 carbs (1 fiber so 4 net)
12g of Protein
6g of Fat
Now when I look up the nutrition on sesame oil in 1 TBSP it has 119 calories, 14g of fat but only 2g are saturated, that means 12g of healthy fats which help to provide you with energy on a low carb diet.
