Failure is Not a Destination
I posted something to someone this morning about failure and something yesterday about fail/succeed. It got me thinking a lot about what failure means and why most (if not all of us) feel/felt like that was the end. Failure is not a destination on this journey. It may be a rest stop, it may be an off ramp, but it is not a destination. A small failure is like falling off a bike, you get up and get right back at it. Yes you are afraid you might fall again, but the more you practice the better you get at it until falling is not even an option any more. Big failures are like falling off your bike and skinning your knee. Yes you may be done for the day but the next day you get back on your bike and you keep practicing until falling does not enter your mind.
Eating right and exercising are this same way. I may have a crazy vacation and eat stuff that doesn't fit my program, did I fail? Yes. Am I done? No. You get right back on the program. You stay focused. Just like riding a bike, you don't look at your feet, you look down the road.
So when I say failure is not an option, I really mean it!
