Restarting my workouts today, so just an easy mile walk for me, I don't want to over do it at the moment.  Trying to just get right back to where I was a few months ago.  =)

Great! Welcome back. I am all for starting out slower but just make sure to challenge yourself too. If a couple of months ago you were exercising, you should be able to get back to it pretty quickly.

I got into the Planet Fitness website and took a look at the pictures of the place--I don't think I'll be going.  The machines are literally side by side to each other--so I'd be working out (rubbing elbows) with some skinny person.  I'm disappointed, shouldn't of looked before I bought.

You should visit your local club before you close out on the idea. Those pics are made to look like there are plenty of places to exercise a the gym. Typically treadmills are closer together but certainly not elbow rubbing close. Every club is different and remember those pictures are taken for marketing purposes and they are meant to appeal to a young eager person. You are just looking for a place to make the fat on your body sorry it ever took up residence on your body. I would encourage you to go and check it out. Keep in mind that places like Planet Fitness are designed to be low cost and they need a lot of people stay in business. If you don't mind paying a little more check out a smaller gym. You might pay a bit more but you will not be slammed with people in the gym at peak hours. I was going to 24Hour Fitness and had trouble sometimes getting on a machine and found it to be dirty. I went to a smaller gym a bit farther away from where I live. It costs be I think $5 or $6 more per month and no matter when I go I can get on pretty much any machine I want. So its worth it to pay a little more. Plus they remember me when I come in the door. Bigger gyms that won't happen. You may also want to consider a local rec center as they typically have gyms that are like $4 per visit and are usually very under used so there is almost never anyone in them.

I'm not a workout buff as most people know but I am trying to be more active so it's a 3 mile walk today.  I'm going to try to do some squats & push ups in front of the TV today.  I never watch TV for myself anymore but if my kids are around, I will try to make myself useful during their time.  lol

I'm walking again!  I got out of the office for two 15 minute breaks and walked, then walked for a half hour lunchtime.
