What concerns me is eating anything out of a can.  My natropath has asked me to avoid cans at all costs.  There are toxins in the can's lining.  Not sure if this is worth it...

I agree to some extent and for the most part I do not eat that much from a can, but there are some things that are nice to have on hand for convenience. Ideally we would all grow and harvetst and hunt our foods, but that is getting more and more difficult to do as well. There are a lot of people on here who look for the healthiest thing they can find at McDonalds and strip the bun off, so given a choice between some fast processed food or something out of a can, I'll take the can. Many of these are also available in glass jars that might be a good option too.

I'd think a tuna pouch is better (safer).  Or a Quest Bar.
