Meeting with my trainer today for the first real workout -- last week was just a goals, etc. meeting.  So my goal is to start working out without injuring any body parts (LOL -- I already walked into a railing this morning on my way back from getting coffee.  Yes, I can hurt myself by just going for coffee!  I definitely have a gift!)

Oh, c'mon that injury doesn't count! You have to do a reset!

After doing 3 weeks of c25k week 1 work out, I changed the interval timer to week 2 times.  Will see how it goes, might puke, might fall, might bleed, but I will keep going.

Question - The c25k workout are only about 30min, I read somewhere that you don't hit fat burning  till after 30min of increased heart rate.  While continuing to run /walk for the additional 30min might kill me, should I extend warm up to 10 min of brisk walking and the cool down to a 20 min brisk walking?

If you are eating low carb, you should be in ketosis or near ketosis most of the time, you will get to fat burn much more quickly than someone who eats a regular or balanced diet. Now with C25k you are doing intervals so you as spiking your heart rate, so you are also getting to fat burn quicker than someone just walking for 30 mins.

Now you are burning much less in the early stages of C25k than the later but you are burning and thats all that matters.

Week 3 is the hardest, I had to do it twice. But even though the following weeks are physically harder, week 3 is the hump, once you get past it, the rest are easier.

Day off - was supposed to be Monday, but I did 60 miles of hard work on Monday, so it got moved to Friday.

Planning some rides over the weekend... probably do one hard day, one easy...  And heading to the farmer's market to stock up on Grass Fed beef and pastured eggs, plus some good veggies...
