Thank goodness for husbands...
I wouldn't have made it through the surgery and complications without my partner either. He stayed with me everyday and helped me physically, emotionally, and everything inbetween. I know he must have become tired of me asking "Collins, will you..." He never got frustrated with me. He held my hand through every IV and when I had to be re-admitted he calmed me. When I wanted to leave the hospital, he was my voice of reason. Sometimes, he just flat out told me "no."
He made sure I was taken care of and now that we are home, he walks with me several days a week a I gain my strength back. We go through the pureed recipes and he cooks for me. I've never depended on anyone in my life. I'm so grateful I chose him as my life partner.
