Thank you for your kind words! I got so much out of the weekend! Lots of support and also a glimpse of the insecurity I still deal with daily, there is comfort in knowing we are not alone! I also recognized how those insecure voiced in my head ssometimes cause ME to make some quick judgements that had way more to do with MYinsecurities than what anyone else is doing.

A lifetime of feeling social awkward did not disappear with the 85 pounds!!

Eh, it wasn't about the zipper, babes. It was totally about ALL the OTHER zippers over the past 30 years, ya know? We knew that too. I'm glad Alison was there because I was totally like "ummm... oh **** where's Tom, he's good at this ****" because he's talked me off the ledge before. LOL. Seriously, though. Ya know... it's all part of it right? Figuring ourselves out and accepting who we are and who we were. Anyone that says weight loss didn't change them is lying to themselves - it does, but in ways we probably won't fully understand for a very long time.

I'm SO glad we got to spend some quality time together. Seriously. I had a great time hanging out with you, chatting on the plane, etc.

You are seriously my parental and marriage idol.  I've never met someone else who is as silly and honest (maybe even more so) as I am in my relationship and as a parent.  I'm sooooo ******g thankful we got to ride on the plane together to and from because I really got a chance to get to know you, and obviously you're just awesome.  Thanks for letting me have my freak out, not judging me and really getting it.  You are just aces, my luvvie, and I would have never thought just having Dr. G for a surgeon would make it possible to find a friend like you :)

Heh. Girl, who has time to pretend they are a perfect mate and parent? I'm pretty sure I suck at it most of the time and who cares? My kids don't appear to be permanently damaged and if they are, I'll just pay the ******g shrink so they can tell about how their mom screwed them up for life. ((HUGS))

We totally have to get together with our families. I think our husbands would get along well too (and they can babysit the kids while we get away from them, cuz, ya know, they're babysitters) ;)

YES!  Any time (especially us just getting together while they "babysit" the kids).  I was telling the hubs how much I think they will get along, and about the meetup group.  I think he really actually wants some guy friends now.  He's constantly surrounded by females, and I think it's getting to him :)

I will cook!  Let's make this happen.  Oh, and we need to plan our date night to Wink...you know, once I actually call goal.
