WOW Restriction Where Ever Did YOU Come From?
I have been cutting back lately. I have been eating more and realized that I do not need to eat that much. I noticed that my lunches were getting a little bigger and I was finishing them. So this week I made a conscious effort to eat less. I went back to my old ways of bringing in a small cup of whatever my lunch is. Well all week long (this and half of last so its been about a week) I have been fine, maybe a little hungry when I was done but very tolerable. I have also been skipping my morning snack in favor of snacking closer to workout times.
Well today I got about 3/4 of the way through my small cup of food I brought today a mixture of some Quinoa, Ground Turkey, Pepitas, and some Kale with some spicy seasonings and out of the blue I got some nice restriction just like the old days. It was like seeing a long lost friend. Hope he sticks around for a while. I'd like to see a few more veins in my arms before he goes.
I was in therapy and had the Beck Diet Solution workbook recommended to me by my therapist. It is doing wonders for me to help me control my head hunger issues. I highly recommend it.

The Beck Diet Solution book and workbook are amazing. It is a behavior modification therapy by a psych - Dr. Beck. It teaches you to identify head hunger vs real hunger, that even real hunger isn't an emergency, etc. I love it. One passage that stays with me years after reading it, is Dr. Beck explaining when you give in to eating temptations you are strengthening your "give in" muscle. Conversely, when you resist temptation, you are strengthening your "resistance" muscle. Making it easier and easier to say no in the future. So very true. It also talks about turning down food to food bullies without guilt. I just love it. I should re-read it soon.
Sorry for the hijack, Keith!
This happens to me occaisionally - out of nowhere I eat two ounces of something and bam! the door shuts. Sunday I was running to the bathroom at chipotle, and nearly lost the two ounces. I feel like sometimes i must be eating too fast, not chewing enough or something - and an air bubble forms - and takes 10 minutes to dissipate.

Burrito bowl, steak, no rice, no beans. Double veggies, salsa, hot sauce, cheese and lettuce. Way more than I can eat in one sitting, minimal carbs, decent protein if you eat the steak first. I can't eat enough chicken in one sitting...
