Jumping Rope is easy, I am guessing you have all done it at some point in your life. You can actually do it with or without a rope. If you get a good gym quality jump rope you can work your way up to speed jumping and double jumping.

Jumping Rope is good cardio, relatively easy on your knees, works most of your leg muscles and the rope swinging part will force you to hold a contraction in your upper back strengthening your back muscles and improving your posture.

Start with 4 sets of 30 seconds and work your way to 4 sets of 2 minutes.

My five year old wants me to teach her to jump rope by showing her so badly. I try to explain it to her, but really need to find an iron clad super strong sports bra or I'll knock myself out from a blow to the head before I even try jump roping.

It's a fabulous cardio exercise, though!  It will be on my list of to-do's once I drop a bit more of my weight & find a good sports bra ;)

Don't knock yourself out!!!! I'm going to do this, even though it brings a smile to my face that my 50 year old body will be jumping rope...
