Not to reheat the debate but some doctors say no popcorn, others say it is ok, so go with what your doctor's plan has prescribed for you. I eat it in small amounts. I do not eat microwave popcorn I either make it myself or I buy Skinny Pop. I do have concerns that the hulls get stuck in my staple line but so far I have not had any problems.

There are those on this site whose plans it does not fit on and disagree with me. I have eaten pumpkin seeds as well with similar concerns. I have seen them recommended many times as a good low carb (but not low calorie) snack but they are fairly calorie dense.

With popcorn it is very easy to over eat so I would strongly encourage anyone eating popcorn to measure out a cup and enjoy it and to chew it very well. Don't shovel handfuls into your mouth like maybe we did pre-op.

Thanks Keith, good to know!  :-)

I must admit, having staples left in there "forever" has worried me about this procedure.  If only there were a way to do the procedure with something that dissolves, but I realize that's not strong enough to hold it together at first.  I pray for the best.
