So I had my sleeve 12/12.  I've been doing great!  Everyday gets a little easier.  In fact I'm already bored with staying home!  What I am wondering is how many days till the scale starts moving.  I am anxiously awaiting this to happen.  I know, I know, I just had surgery but I'm still curious.  Any ideas?  Oh yeah.  Unable to drink much protein right now but dietician said not to worry about it but just focus on fluids.

I bet tomorrow you will see it move.  I had my surgery 11/25.  3 days later home from the hospital I had gained everything I lost prior to surgery; 11 lbs.  Today marks 3 weeks post surgery and I am down 27 lbs.

Once you are able to get in more fluids and protein the scale should start to move for you.

Congrats!!! You are FRESH out the gate!!!

I gained all I'd lost, too. Water retention from surgery & lack of fluids. Anyway, I started losing after a couple days and lost all that plus some SUPER FAST, then it slowed down to a normal pace.

No need to worry. It will come off.

I came home from the hospital with 18 pounds gain! (all those iv fluids, I expect)  It took 2 weeks for me to get back to surgery day weight.  I am just now a year out--  I guess what I'm trying to say is, patience, grasshopper.  Appreciate the daily process you are going through.  The scales will take care of themselves.  I'm so glad to hear you are healing nicely--continue to make daily progress with your liquids and protein and the  weight  will come off as the days go by.  Just a blink of the eye- you will be so pleased and amazed.  Smiles, Bonnie

Everyone is different.  I went into the hospital on 12/9 at 216, came out on Thursday at 224.  I got down to 209 by Saturday morning but no loss over the last 24 hours.  The scale will move.  Walk as often as you can and work on getting your liquids.  I am only getting in about 28 oz a day and I know it's a struggle
