What's Your Workout Today VSGers? - Merry Monday!
Today is a special day for me. I get off at noon and heading out to the barn.
I had 2 goals to get done before the end of the year.
1) Start back running my dog in agility. Accomplished 10/31/13.
2) Start riding horses again. Accomplished 12/19/13. Today I have a riding lesson.
I LOVE my Sleeve! I am getting my life back and enjoying all the things I used to do!
OMG, I am so sick of not exercising :( I swear to God I am going to burn my recliner after thus recovery.

I would go ape **** I have 2 hernias that need to be repaired. I was going to do them with my TT but I am thinking about waiting longer for my TT and I can get ins to cover the hernia ops. BUT...I don't want the 8 week down time. So I think I am going to wait. I will have some messed up looking abs unfortunately.
How long before you can start exercising?
Not sure how long before I can exercise. Honestly, goal number one is to get cleared to resume relations with the hubby, but no where close to that yet. Original estimate was 4-6 weeks, and it is surely looking like it is going to be the later. Usually for my surgeon drains come out after a week, and I will have 2 of mine for at least 4 weeks so not quite sure. Exercise is a very, very long way off. Waking even causes swelling, so the recliner it is for a while longer. I am praying by 4 weeks I am able to return to work at least, as I average 10,000 steps a day on a typical day. That at this point would be huge. Forget about lifting anything over 5 pounds for at least another month, and even then I am not sure. I had a hernia fixed during the TT, so not sure if that is making the lifting thing more prominent or not... but no joke, I have to fill my coffee pot up half way and do this twice in order to make a pot of coffee in the morning. So, it will be a while. Still totally and completely worth it!

Happy Teacher -
It will be over before you know it, then you'll be dreading burning that recliner! So keep the recliner on standby to rest those aching muscles once you are back to exercising, LOL!
