I Just Got ***** Slapped By My Sleeve
You may not have called me stupid, but you did your best to try to make me look stupid. The moderation (Hmm...moderation. There's that word, again) was to your thread. I think the mods on this site can see past your camouflage, too.
It's alright. I won't be coming back to this thread.
Bash away, my dear.
See you later then, I suppose.

What is your plan for the next time you go to the movies? One thought is that you could have gone back to the car for your drink.
I'd hate for you to lose your momentum too soon and not achieve the results you desire. There have been a number of posts on this board from people who started out with lapses such as this and never quite turned it around again. IMVHO it's great that you posted about it, for your own sake and others'.
You're right. I SHOULD have just gone back to the effing car.

It happens. Time to move on and learn from it. See the current thread on "So you cheated, now what" for the rest of what I would comment on. Hope you are feeling better.

I read that post yesterday and commented on it! I completely agree with what you said about "Take note on how you are feeling." That was supposed to be the point of posting this entire thread. I was immediately feeling "This was NOT worth it."
Thanks for the reply, and for yesterday's post. I always get so much out of your posts.

You know Chrissy,
For what it is worth- I had the exact same cheat right around the exact same point in the journey- but I ate WAY more than you did. I put down a large popcorn, some milk duds, and had some of the hubby's diet coke (first go with the soda). The calories were astronomical and put me way over for the day. I truly get the spirit of your post... the taking accountability in part by posting the experience, the hope that others may learn from it, and in my humble opinion you have learned a great deal despite what some of the other responses are indicating. You came home and put yourself right back on plan. Me, it took several days to finally crawl back on the wagon. The only saving grace is that I have diverticulitis an paid a price for a few days after that event. And like you, I knew that the next go around at the movies I would need to make changes- especially since my children work at AMC and the hubby and I get free movies when ever we want so we see most everything. It could have been a recipe for disaster, but instead it was a great stepping stone in learning how to navigate the process, get back on plan, plan to avoid repeating the mistake, yadda yadda yadda.
I personally think you are handling the post-cheat very well. Here is a nod to hoping it doesn't happen again, HT

Thanks. It means a lot to know that I'm not the only one who has had off days on this wild ride.

I'm glad you have some insight into the situation and you've received lots of good advice about what else you can take away from this. You've done a great job so far and you're a smart cookie. I wouldn't have commented if I didn't think so. Take care, my friend. Clean slate ahead with new learnings to work from.
