Fat Burning Foods

I have been wanting to do this post for a while but until today did not have the time to compile the list. We get bombarded with "xx Best Fat Burning Foods" lists all the time. Google, YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, every angle I see at least one of these a day. There are some things that are common and there are some things that are different. There are also some lists that are a bit more specific than others that might mentions a specific nut or vegetable and arguably there are some that are better than others (i.e. Walnuts and Almonds versus Peanuts and Pistachio, Macadamia get an honorable mention and Broccoli and Spinach versus Iceburg Lettuce).

I did a google search and chose 10 sources of "Fat Burning Food Lists". Some are from articles, YouTube, photos, etc. Some of the sources are more credible than others but they are all legitimate source and they are all listed at the end in case you want to dig a little deeper. The list below are all the foods that showed up and the number of times the appear across the 10 sources I chose. They are ranked from those that appear the most to the ones that appear least. I was a bit surprised with all the latest about Coconut Oil that it isn't up near the top but I think as more and more research shows up its position will improve very soon.

I would say the top 10 or 15 of this list are foods you should be adding to your diet (if you haven't already). Of the things that are lower than 15 that I personally believe you should be including are: Beans, Avocado, Whey, Chia, Flax, Fish Oil (this arguable should have been combined with fish), Garlic, Ginger, and Vinegar.
