Something has been bothering me
I lost a bunch of weight in my early 20's and while I was still overweight people said this to me. It was around that time that I started to gain, and gain it all and some more back. I know there are other reasons for my re-gain, but it played a role.
Now that I've been sleeved I have thought about that and already decided how I'd deal with those comments. I truly don't believe there was any kind of bad intentions when it was said to me, but I still didn't like it. If it happens again (I assume it will) I will just say something like:
I'm sure I could be, but I am still losing regularly and will let my body stop when it wants or make the changes to start maintaining if I hit the healthy BMI range. Thanks, though, that must mean I look pretty good right now, but I know I could look better.
Congrats on your loss, so far, by the way!
Yep, file that in your mental trash can. 50 pounds is a lot and if you feel that is where you should be then refocus and work that plan. You will get a lot of people calling you skinny or saying not to lose more, but keep in mind they are so used to seeing you morbidly obese that just plain old obese even looks pretty good. So keep that path!
