Aww, thanks.  Being a good role model for her and really being present were huge motivating factors in having this surgery.

Thanks for the inspiration. This is the kind of Mommy I want to be to my two children and why I am having surgery next week.  I want to get up and have the energy to goof off with them. I want to run a 5K or even someday a 10K.  I was never shown what an active, fit life looks like but I sure want to show them.

Congrats on the NSV, the weight loss and being such a great role model for your daughter.  And many thanks for the inspiration!

You can do it!  You can do anything with commitment, perseverance and determination :)  Good luck with your surgery!  I hope it's as uneventful as mine was.

Deena, I love this post. Being able to do those simple things like play with your daughter is what this journey is all about. I am so happy you're still experiencing NSVs. And as a person who has always felt trapped in a fat, slow, clumsy body, you give me hope. Someday I hope to run just to feel the wind in my hair.

You will!  You just have to get outside of the mindset that your body is fat, slow and clumsy!  Because it's not.  It's amazing the things we are capable of if we can just let go of our negative perceptions of ourselves.  We are the ones who limit ourselves, and I think a huge part of this journey is to realize that and to stop doing it.  :)
