Not sure what's happening!

I've had the dizzy's since day one of my surgery. I'm 3 weeks out (monday) and it's getting worse, not better. When I was in the hospital with my pancreatitis (days 5-12) was probably the only time I felt strong. I figure it's probably all the iv fluids they were pumping in to me. Since I have been back home (a week yesterday), I've progressively got weaker and weaker to the point where I think I'm going to faint at times. I know I can go to the hospital and my surgeon will check me in but I really don't think I'm dehydrated (other than mildly) and I'm really hoping that once my gallbladder comes out this will all settle.
Keep us updated and I will keep you in my prayers!
I'm came here to ER last night and got fluids even though my bloodwork doesn't indicate that I'm dehydrated.
Nothing new to report. They're going to give me more fluids. Their anti dizzy med isn't working. Doc said maybe I have an inner ear problem. Sigh, whatever. I guess I'll take my fluids and go home. I'm glad they can't find anything wrong, but getting frustrated
I was dizzy for about 4 months postop. I had some complications and my surgeon saw me weekly to make sure I wasn't dehydrated. He said that he see's it a lot in his patients. He ruled out anything serious that could be causing it and told me to get up slowly and make sure that I'm drinking a steady amount of liquids all day long. Hope you start feeling better asap!!
I would bet my last dollar that when it is all said and done the figure out you medication is taking your blood pressure to low. I was dizzy a lot and actually passed out once when standing up. I was taking a medication for my bladder that is also used for high blood pressure. The figured when I was heavy it didn't affect me but when I lost some weight it lowered my pressure to much. My daughter in law is a nurse practitioner and she told me to stop them before I even went to a doctor. Then he told me the same thing. No problems since. Good luck.
Best of luck to you! I have been told repeatedly that low blood pressure and dehydration can cause dizziness. If my blood pressure is low my nurse always asks how many glasses of water I have drank that day, when the last time I drank was and if I am feeling dizzy.
Hope all is ok with you!

Just checking in...where does all of this stand? So frustrating when you can't get answers but I guess so much has changed and is changing with our bodies it makes it hard. Hope you are feeling better ...
I find the liquids challenging too. Especially when diet was mostly liquid. Just could drink anymore..or anything.
unfortunately, it's gotten worse as I continue to add food. I don't drink with meals but since drinking the water and eating small bites slowly takes time, i carry a water bottle around with me wherever I go but I just seem to run out of time to get it all in.
i am averaging about 48oz although yesterday was an all time low at 32 oz..oops
