Good quality shoes for running or walking are very important. You can't go bargain on these, you will use the crap out of them and they are worth spending some extra money on. My running shoes cost anywhere between $100 on sale to $140 if I can't find them on sale or can't wait. They make all the difference in the world. Also the tops of your feet hurting could be from your laces being too tight but could also indicate that you have a higher than average arch and you may not be getting the support under your foot that you require. It is worth going into a running store and have them evaluate your feet, your gate and how your feet pronate when you walk and run, they can point in you in the right direction for the right shoe. When you go in, mention that the tops of your feet hurt from your shoes and see what they say.
Oranges are very high in sugar and will stop your ability to get into ketosis. Eat spinach, much better source and low carb too. Here is a list of the best sources of potassium. Bananas are #10

I worked up a sweat last night, and felt wonderful afterwards, but I didn't sleep very well. Looks like I should work out earlier in the day. I worked out at 9 p.m. which is probably a bit too late.

Yeah, I have found that the later I work out the harder it is to get to sleep. I also noticed that I don't quite have the intensity of say an afternoon or early evening workout. Now what I do if I do workout late is around 10 or earlier I will take about 3mg of Melatonin with some Magnesium which helps to not only fall asleep but stay asleep longer. There is only one kind of late night workout that does not require help falling asleep but that is for another forum.
