What Skinny Chicks Eat At Disneyland

Awesomely on point.

I had the habit of eating everything put in front of me.  Like a remorseless eating machine (as Homer Simpson was once described).  Quality didn't matter. Hell I'd eat stuff and think - this tastes bad. And then keep eating. Didn't matter.

Now I see that "normies" don't do that.  They almost never finish a plate,it seems.  Good behavior to learn...

Great idea and the great thing about Disneyland is that they let you bring your own food.

This was crazy (well, not really crazy) but last year sometime when I went, I took my kids to Toontown there and I saw like this family of 8 at one of the tables with their "Subway" sandwich spread.  No shame and why not ... not sure why I thought it was comical but more power to them!!!  I guess because that entire section screamed SUBWAY EAT FRESH ...

But yes, planning ahead is definitely the way to go.

I took my minions (along with my Godson "Natey" Nathan) to Disneyland yesterday on MLK day.  We had a fantastic time!

As I would purchase drinks, food, & snacks for the kids, I would always notice the thin gals and what they would grab to eat.  Now .. there are plenty of healthy choices at Disney now ... you can buy an orange, apple or banana if you want to spend $2 each (flippin crazy) or hummus w/pretzels, watermelon, grapes and other "healthy alternatives" to the chips, candy, & ice cream but what I noticed EVERY TIME I purchased food was that the skinny chicks would be buying and munching on the big oversized dill pickles.  Yes, the pickle!  Kinda makes sense, doesn't it?  It's crunchy and practically no calories.  So ... there they were ... those thin gals looking all cute in their tight jeans or black yoga pants munching on pickles.

Then there is me ... eyeing the mickey mouse shaped rice krispy treat dipped in chocolate.  Hummmm ... it's always a good time to start thinking like a thin person.  People have mentioned it on these boards lately.  There really is a reason why a lot of thin people are thin.  They don't eat the crap &/or resist it more often than someone like me who was a formally MO person.  If I want to look like that, I need to make better choices for sure.  Totally makes sense.

I resisted the rice krispy treat but 2 years ago, I would have gotten 1 for sure.  Again, all more the reason to be prepared when going to places like this.

I'm going to Disneyland again hopefully in another week or two ... I'll be buying & munching on a big a@@ pickle.

Wonderful observation!

I have found that pickles are a wonderful snack and my only advice is to make sure they are not loaded with sugar. Some pickles are just AWFUL in the sugar department. But otherwise...ENJOY! :)

That is true because I love those (darn, what are they called... I forgot) but the butter ones???  They are kinda sweet?  Those are good!!!!

Yeah, I gotta just stick with good ol' dill pickles & check the labels.  Not my #1 fave but they will do the trick!!!

You can find no sugar added bread and butter pickles. Those are my favorite!!

Those are it!!!  The Bread & Butter pickles!  There is a little low carb shop by my work that I need to get the SF ones from.  They are the best.  Thank you!

During an admittedly "guilty pleasure" tv marathon a couple of years ago, I caught a couple of seasons of Jersey Shore on Netflix. Snooki constantly ate pickles. Pickles, pickples, pickles. Maybe that's what helped get her skinny again.

Snooki wasn't a skinny minnie when I saw her eating pickles on Jersey Shore ... oh, who am I kidding ... she was smaller than me!!!

But she is tiny now ... and AFTER having a baby.  Some girls do feel the need to munch all the time.  I need to remember pickles!!!

On a more serious note, there is quite a bit more going on with eating pickles than choosing a low calorie snack.  There is quite a bit of new research that shows that eating fermented food is really good for our metabolism because of the gut bacteria growth.  So, go ahead eat one a day.  :)
