Congrats on your up coming surgery Feb 19, you'll do just fine, just place yourself in God's hands first, and he will guide your surgeon. I'll see you soon on the LOSERS BENCH.

PS: Had my surgery Feb 5, doing great no complications, no pain, Monday I will start soft foods.

The Best to you. Amen.

Agree with everyone on the clothing thing. A couple of times on this journey, I was able to get my entire wardrobe pared down so that it fit into a single medium sized suitcase. Agree with what others say regarding goodwill to a point. With goodwill you are stuck with what you can find so if it isn't current, you get what you can get. If you are a professional, this may pose problems. I also find goodwill overwhelms me- too much stuff, plus the time investment is high to find what you need.

i got myself through by shopping sales and buying new clothes from department stores at deep discounts. The price was higher than goodwill, so I only bought a few things at a time. At various points in time, I have had only two or three pairs of pants for work, plus a half dozen shirts and perhaps a couple of sweaters. I did shop goodwill/consignment for jackets. The washer was going all the time but that was ok.

Exciting times...and glad you didn't get caught with your pants down :-)  I echo what others have said about not spending lots of money on new clothes.  I did that and wish I'd done more shopping at Goodwill or online thrift stores.  I wasted a bunch of money!

Being a tall chick, the consignment stores don't really work out for me.  Old Navy and JCP though were fantastic- I could spend $200 and completely redo the wardrobe.  I would skip sizes, so for periods what I was wearing was a little to loose... but overall throughout the process it was not unreasonable at all.  Just yesterday I found a tall girl shop where (gasp) I could actually try on clothes before I bought them!  Dropped $130 on a dress, which is far more than what I would normally do... but given I am in maintenance and it fit so well, money well spent at this point.
