HI Laurie, I read your post about this yesterday. I wasn't sure sure about all that was happening but I did gather that you got a different surgery than what you signed up for. Of course I am happy that you made it through surgery well and that it was a success. However, I have to say that I would be very disturbed as well if I went under the knife for one thing and got something else. Unless of course it was previously discussed as a possibility based and whatever he found when he went in...I think your doctor has a whole lot of explaining to do…. Just saying that is serious.

Nonetheless, like the other posters here. Im happy that you are ok and I wish all the best for you! Rock that sleeve!

Let us know when you find out.  I'm very interested in what he has to say.

I think it's a crying shame that there is a trickle of glee by some that I did not get the surgery I was after.  I've stated many times that my post op exam will hopefully uncover the reasons at hand for the change in surgery.  Karma you want to say.. lack of research? Chose a doctor you had never heard of?  You want to take my post and make fun of the situation.. Go right ahead... Funny half had to unblock me to read it.. the other (Geek Monster) just couldn't stand it and had to drag my post to the filth of her OH underground.  You guys sure show your maturity level don't you.

Why do you feel the need to post this?  Do you like drama?

You can say what ever you want about not getting the right surgery, but any good surgeon would have told you before you were released from the hospital the exact reason why you got the sleeve and not the DS.  They would not wait for you to see them for your post op exam.
