In your husband's defense he is under a lot of stress over your most recent surgery and he still has the luxury (unlike us) to be an emotional eater. I still whole-heartedly agree that it's a bit insensitive to you and you should toss his vices in the trash. But I'm glad you see that his intentions weren't malicious.
Oh, I am totally capable of being an emotional eater still (sigh).
