Have you had a leak? What were the symptoms? Nervous!!

If you had a leak, what were your symptoms? I posted yesterday that I was having muscle weakness- I called my doctor this morning and they wanted me to come in tomorrow for some labs. Then on top of that- this afternoon- I was doing some light cleaning- just picking up and putting away kids toys and I started having pain in my abdomen- pretty much starts in the middle and goes to the left. The pain has continued to get worse- it feels like a knife stabbing my incision, some burning. It started around 2pm. I called my doctor around 8pm- it was the nurse practitioner on call and she said I should come to the office in the morning to get it checked out- she said maybe a pulled muscle? It certainly doesn't feel like a pulled muscle. I'd say the pain is pretty close to what it was when I came home. I will be 4 weeks post op tomorrow and haven't had any pain since about 1.5 weeks post op. Now I'm nervous that I might have a leak!!

I agree with the nurse practitioner.... I had a leak... You most likely would of been fighting a fever  by now and infection.

Does the fever set in quickly? Did you have pain before the fever?

I had pain in my left side under my ribcage and in my left shoulder.  No fever.  I did have an infection, but, thankfully no leak.  You need to get checked and don't panic because you really don't know what it is yet.  Praying for you to feel better soon.

Thanks!! I went to the doctor today and she wasn't concerned- she said I looked to good to have a leak. She said maybe I pulled where the muscle is stitched and to take some Motrin. Glad I got it checked!!
