FRIDAY GRATEFUL POST
Good Friday Everyone,
Well the weekend is almost upon us now. We all have something to be grateful for everyday regardless of what is going on in our lives. Sometimes it is hard ( trust me I know this ) and at times life sometimes seems to totally overwhelm us. Sometimes things going on in our lives just isn't fare at all but that shouldn't rock our world enough to keep us from being grateful for all the blessings that have come our way and for those "bad" things to take our grateful spirit away. Today and pretty much everyday I am grateful for things that happen in my life. Even things I have NO control over in my life. I am grateful for my husband and my sons, my DIL and my precious granddaughter and unborn grandbaby still in the oven. I am grateful for my WLS, my life and health, grateful for all the trials that God sends my way because even though I don't understand at the time why I am going through things I have no control over I know that God is allowing these things to happen to make me a stronger person. Grateful that my BP is finally settling down and I'm not as tired as I've been in the last month. Grateful for God and answered prayers. PLEASE share if you will what you are grateful for today and have a blessed day and weekend.
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

I am grateful that I am on day 12 of the liquid diet, and have only cheated by drinking an ounce or so more of unsweetened almond milk per shake than I am supposed to.

You will do wonderfully! I have to be honest, the first day and a half were hard because I didn't space my shakes out correctly and I didn't get enough water in. Good luck to you. YOU CAN DO IT!

How would you suggest I space mine out. I'm allowed 4 protein drinks and/or bars, but at least two shakes a day plus one lean cuisine meal.
My average work day now right now consists of getting up at 430 am grabbing a small cup of coffee from my Keurig flavored with a few drops of French vanilla creamer to sip on while getting ready, then at 515 when I go to head out the door I fill my thermos and travel mug with same.
I drink coffee till 700/730 then eat breakfast then finish off my coffee, I may/or may not snack and same with eating at lunch time. I THE hardest thing for me is going to be giving up my flavored coffee then my Pepsi other than that, I think it will be just cravings here and there and my own mind playing games with me.
So anyhow. I work 6am to 6pm sometimes 5 out of the 7 days and always sitting down except for the occasional up to stretch out. I always have access to a small fridge or ice cooler but not a kitchen. I have 1100 calories a day and he wants any calorie intake to have at least 10% protein per calories, it can have more than 10%. Any suggestions on the best way to stretch it out or product suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kim
I have 5 shakes and I try to stretch it out as follows:
- 7 a.m. 1st shake
- liquids: water, PowerAde, tea, coffee, chicken broth or beef broth (Cafe Fresco SF flavorings for coffee & tea)
- 10 a.m. 2nd shake
- liquids
- 1 p.m. 3rd shake
- liquids
- 4 p.m. 4th shake
- liquids
- 7 p.m. 5th shake
- liquids
I hope this helps. I found that if I drink my shakes too close together, then I can't have one later on, and then I get hunger headaches.

I am greatful for my family and all the support that I receive on my weight loss journey. I am also greatful that God looked out for my daughter as she underwent surgey this week and had her hip replaced and is recovering well.
I am also greatful that I just returned from the most wonderful vacation with my husband and friends, 10 days in Alaska..3 fishing and a 7 day cruise and I only gained 1 pound... I didn't always eat right so I was a little worried. Tried to make good choices and eat the right amount. Worked out some with the encouragement of friends and really was able to enjoy the trip and not feel like I was missing out on things.
