Biotin survey

If you're between 3-8 mos post-op, it's not going to make any difference how much biotin or protein you consume.  Telogen Effluvium is a reaction to the trauma to your body (such as chemo, child birth, surgery).  It starts a few months post, lasts a few months, then stops.  Google it to learn more.

I haven't heard of Biotin causing hair growth in unwanted areas. I have been taking a supplement with Biotin and other ingredients for the last year. I have Alopecia Areata where my hair will fall out in patches. It does regrow where it falls out. I don't think Biotin will help stop hair fall out but I do know from taking the supplement that my hair grows much faster than it normally would and my skin texture is much softer and smoother than before. I don't have a surgery date but the hair loss is a major concern of mine but, I guess that is one of the things we have to be aware of and accept. I hope your regrowth begins soon.
