Probably a silly quesstion
If in doubt, consult with your doc - their programs vary widely and only they can tell you why and how you fit into things. Some docs do a one-size-fits-all type of program while others will have guidelines based upon average or worse case patient results and will tailor things from there. My doc gives us rather broad guidelines (liquids, purees, soft proteins from the hospital thru first month, progressing as tolerated) and makes adjustments as needed. He was adding veg to my diet at day ten as protein intake was no problem, but my wife had more difficulty with liquids and progressed more slowly. It's a big YMMV thing that your doc should be involved in (have had reports here of docs adjusting their progression programs based upon their patients cheating on it and not suffering, so many are learning how the sleeve works as we learn, so it pays to be in touch with your doc!)
